For Immediate Release:
Epson to Sponsor 19th Annual New Jersey Sandcastle Contest in Belmar
Epson to Give Away On-the-Spot Beautiful PictureMate Photos of Participants
BELMAR, NJ (June 21, 2005) Participants in the New Jersey Sandcastle Contest will be able to preserve the memories of their unique creations long after the waves have washed the sand away with free photos provided by Epson America. The New Jersey Sandcastle Contest today announced that Epson, the global leader in digital imaging products including single function and multifunction ink jet printers, scanners, 3LCD projectors and photo viewing devices, will be a Silver Sponsor for the 19th Annual New Jersey Sandcastle Contest. This yearly event will be held at Belmar's 18th Avenue Beach on Wednesday, July 6 (rain date: Thursday, July 7). Participants of all ages are invited to build their own unique creation from New Jersey's finest sand, known to be ideal for sculpting.
As part of its event sponsorship, Epson will showcase its new PictureMate Deluxe Viewer Edition personal photo lab at an interactive display. A team of photographers will capture digital photos of the participants and provide free light, water and smudge-resistant photo prints on-site using these very portable home photo printers. Epson's PictureMate personal photo lab provides easy printing of beautiful and affordable lab-quality 4" x 6" photos without the hassle of using a computer.
"We are excited to be the official printer sponsor of the New Jersey Sandcastle Contest," explained Fabia Ochoa, Group Product Manager, Specialty Photo Printers, Epson. "Our printers will be able to accurately capture the creative and detailed sandcastles and sculptures and provide all participants with a lasting memory of the event. And because the printers are portable, we can easily print anywhere - even on the beach."
"Each year the New Jersey Sandcastle Contest attracts thousands of people across the tri-state area. Epson's sponsorship truly captures the spirit of this Shore event and preserves these artistic feats on photos before the tide washes them away," said Frank Sementa, Director of the Belmar Tourism Board.
